THE KHAYA NDLOVU RESTAURANT
Owning a breath-taking view of the Klein Drakensberg mountains, the alfresco restaurant that operates from the decked terrace at the Khaya Ndlovu Manor House is the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious meal, high-tea, tapas, or sundowner. In fact, it is beyond compare! The dining area overlooks a wetland that serves as a natural playground for many bird and game species, and it is not unusual for a visit to the restaurant to turn into an exciting game viewing experience.
In addition to the delicious cuisine on offer, it is also about taking advantage of the beautiful Lowveld weather, the peace and tranquillity of the lush Khaya Ndlovu garden and the romance of the filtered, shifting light that seeps onto the deck through the overhanging branches of the Marula and Wild Pear trees.

Dinner is an elegant affair set up on our magical candle-lit deck comprising of a 2, 3 or 4 course set meal. We take your dietary requirements into account when planning our menus and can discuss options on booking. We only plan our menu’s on the day based on availability of produce.

GAME DRIVES ON THE RIETSPRUIT GAME RESERVE
Game drives are conducted on our 5,500 hectare Rietspruit Game Reserve which is home to a huge variety of wildlife with wide- ranging views of the beautiful Drakensberg Mountain Range and Blyde River Canyon.
Jump aboard our open safari-vehicles with our knowledgeable guides, either in the early mornings or late afternoon and discover animals species such as lions, elephants, cheetah, leopard, African wild dog, both black and white rhino as well as a host of general game.
Pre-booking is essential.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- Drives typically last between 3 – 4 hours.
- They depart from the Manor House boma area.
- Conducted in the early morning and late afternoons.
- AM Drive Departure Time: Summer : 5:30am | Winter: 6:00am
- PM Drive Departure Time: Summer: 4:00pm | Winter: 3:30pm
- We do not typically allow children under the age of 6 years old on shared vehicles. It is recommended that parents make use of our baby sitting service or alternatively pre-book a private vehicle.
